Natural vs Dramatic

Which bride
are you?

There are two kinds of brides — the natural makeup bride and the dramatic makeup bride. Both start with the same thing: flawless skin.

The Philosophy

Light, shadow
and colour theory.

Colour theory is very important when it comes to makeup — as well as knowing how to balance light and shadow, highlights and contours. A client’s face makes a perfect canvas to release all such creative energies. Of all things creative, eye makeup is my favourite one of all, by far.

My main strength lies in the even-toning of the skin, hiding blemishes and imperfections, and matching the foundation perfectly with the natural skin tone. Beauty that appears “effortless” also demands much more work.

The Natural Bride

Effortless
on purpose.

I believe that makeup shouldn’t cover natural beauty, but help enhance it — skin should look effortlessly radiant and classic.

My mission is to make my brides look the most beautiful they ever could on their wedding day.

Tip: choosing a matte bronzer is the best way to achieve a more natural, subtle look — especially for daytime events — instead of using heavy contour creams.

The Dramatic Bride

All eyes
on you.

While I cater to all different communities, I get to meet brides who like a “no-makeup makeup look” all the way through to a full dramatic look. I easily switch between natural and dramatic depending on my bride’s taste and vision for her big day — focusing mainly on the eyes to give that pop.

Tip: one way to get a more natural base is to mix a little moisturiser into your foundation.
